We were tasked with designing a poster for the new edition of the Worteldagen Art Festival, themed “Wees Echt” (“Be Real”). The theme explored the fakeness of social media and referenced the popular app BeReal.

My concept visualized creatures emerging from a phone screen wearing masks, symbolizing the facade people present online and the blurred line between authenticity and performance. I contrasted this with natural elements representing both the festival’s outdoor setting and nature as the antithesis to technology.
